VDOT Memo Concerning Towne Center
In addition to the above...
On Tuesday, 18 Dec at the Stafford County Board of Supervisors meeting at 7::00 PM the board will be discussing and voting on the rezoning of Brentsmill property that runs just of the fence of a lot of folks on Harpoon Drive. This is going to be the largest rezoning effort in Stafford County. The property is presently zoned for one (1) house per acre and the rezoning will increase that to three home per acre. I would like to suggest that as many folks as can come to the meeting on Dec 18 at 7:00PM, come.
On November 8th there will be a meeting with developers at Aquia Towne Center. The developers will share some of the ideas they have in mind for the Center along with conducting a balloon demonstration to show the proposed height of the multi-story garage. The meeting will begin at 11:15 a.m. at the Towne Center. All are invited.

Aquia Towne Center Rezoning Public Hearing
RC2700543
Ramco Gershenson, the owner of Aquia Towne Center, has submitted to Stafford County their much anticipated plan for renovating Aquia Towne Center (Zoning B-2) into The Town Center at Aquia (Zoning P-TND). A public hearing is set for this upcoming Wednesday, October 17th, 2007 7:30 PM at the Stafford County Administration Center.
Highlights of Ramco Gershenson's plans include upscale retail destinations with office spaces located overtop and in free standing buildings like the one nearing completion. A request for 350 residential condominium/rental units are also included. Total build out of the renovated shopping center is 727,000 square feet (the existing zoning limit for Aquia Towne Center is 350,000 square feet).
The submitted plan includes a zoning variance to allow building heights of 90 feet along Washington Drive, Aquia Drive, and Columbus Cove. The plans also notes the potential of two additional entrances on Washington Drive only if Aquia Harbour allows them – we strongly oppose these entrances and will not allow them.
Please click below to view the notice sent from Stafford County and consider attending the public hearing on October 17th to express your opinion on how this rezoning request will affect every resident of Aquia Harbour.
