Tune in to Your Community Radio Station
at 1670AM
NEWS
The community radio is currently down due to equipment failure. We hope to have it back on-line soon.
Due to the hard work of several people, mainly David Humphrey and Sonny Mikeal, Aquia Harbour has its own radio station, which broadcasts on 1670AM.
The radio station is used to pass information from the AHPOA to the residents. The information, transmitted in an approximately one minute long message in a repeating loop, includes notices, events, weather warnings, etc.
The range of the transmission varies depending on the time of day and night along with weather conditions. At a minimum the broadcast is easily heard from the Washington Drive - Route 1 intersection up to the intersection of Washington Drive and Richmond Drive; most of the time the range exceeds this area.
To make things easy, consider presetting one of your radio buttons to 1670AM so that you can catch the news with a touch of the button. Feel free to drop us a line with your thoughts on the system. Thanks... ahpoa@aquiaharbour.org
