The New Aquia Harbour Radio Station is on the air!
Thanks to the hard work of several people, mainly David Humphrey and Sonny Mikeal, our new radio station is on the air. The broadcast is located on 1670AM.
The radio station will be used to pass information from the AHPOA to the residents. This will include notices, events, weather warnings, etc... We hope that residents will find this new method of communicating much more effective than the sign that has been used on Washington drive.
The range of the transmission will vary depending on the time of day and night along with weather conditions. At a minimum the broadcast should easily be heard from the Washington drive - Rt. 1 intersection up to Washington and Richmond. However most times the range will exceed this area.
To make things easy, consider presetting one of your radio buttons to 1670AM so that you can catch the news with a touch of the button. Feel free to drop us a line with your thoughts on the new system. Thanks... ahpoa@aquiaharbour.org
