The Construction Approval form is available on the Business Page under the Forms Button.

The Architectural Control Committee (ACC) is appointed by the Board of Directors and is specifically charged with the responsibilities of assuring compliance with the provisions of the Restrictions and Covenants as they may apply to all new construction and with approving all exterior changes to existing homes.

The ACC committee meets each Wednesday at 4:00PM in the conference room at the Aquia Harbour Office to review all applications that have been received since the previous meeting.  Applications must be received no later than 2:00pm on Wednesday.  If the application is approved a letter will be sent out to the home owner stating approval. If the application is disapproved a letter will be sent stating why the application was disapproved.

Many times the approval will be held up because of items that are needed in order for the approval to take place.  Below are just a few things that hold up approval of applications:

   a. Set backs (In regards to new homes)

    b. No more that one storage building besides your home on your     property.

    c. Keep in mind the size pipe for ditch in front of property.

    d. Variances

    e. Propane tanks (permits are required)

    f. Retaining walls (permits are required)

    g. Boat docks

    h. Pools

    i. County Permits

    j. Plat of the home indicating where the work is to take place.

Applications can be down loaded from the Web Site. Homeowners are invited to attend the meeting on Wednesday's to state their case if necessary.
