The Aquia Harbour Stable Facility is a self-care facility
managed by the General Manager of Aquia Harbour in coordination
with a Stable Manager and the Aquia Harbour Saddle Club
Cooperative.
Each individual family is responsible for the care and feeding
of their animals and must participate in the general upkeep and
maintenance of the barn. The Aquia Harbour Stables contains 20
stalls with indoor and outdoor riding arenas, two wash racks for
grooming, three tie stalls and seven paddocks for turn-out.
General maintenance and upkeep of the barn are accomplished by
members and a weekly clean up roster is rotated amongst
members/families. Each horse is to be fed and watered twice
daily, and each stall is to be cleaned once daily.
Watch for the scheduling of horse shows and events.
Occasionally, there is an opening for jobs at the Stables. If
you are interested in learning how to care for horses, put your
name on the "helper" sign-up sheet at the barn. Visitors and
guests to the stable are welcome. Also, if you have a Scout or
Youth Group that would like a tour of the barn, please contact
the General Business Office. We offer the lowest stabling fees
available (does not
include feed or bedding).
