NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER ARTICLE

More and more of our residents are commenting on a trend that I have noticed in the past several years. There seems to be a small segment of our community that does not take as much pride in the appearance of their home as we have come to expect. The Code Violation Officer continually has more than a hundred cases in work. This is way too many. I would ask everyone to take a few minutes and view his or her home from the roadside. If the house or yard needs work to bring it up to an acceptable standard make it happen. Toys strewn about, garbage cans constantly out and abandoned/unlicensed vehicles are unacceptable. Residents are being cited and in some cases being given special assessments. Please don't let this be you.

The critical road pipes have gone in on Washington Drive outside the gate. This has been a worry for some time as the pipes were ready to fail with the potential to close part if not the entire road. Thank you to those that patiently waited the minute or so to get safely by the workmen. It was necessary to start work early in the morning as buried utility lines were involved. If any had been mismarked and accidentally cut the repair could have run into the night. This would have made a nightmare for evening traffic.
